OUR KIDS DESERVE IT was created by two individuals, Mason Wooldridge and Jessica Cirulli, who both had the opportunity to work with law enforcement, educators, legislators, private companies and citizens from all over the great state of Indiana for the purpose of creating school safety standards to be adopted in the Hoosier State for public K-12 educational environments. Our nonprofit entity was founded shortly after our first major victory in March of 2016 when we were able to assist in the passage of a Senate Bill making Indiana the first state in America to move towards creating safety standards for their schools. The founders of OKDI have lofty goals in mind concerning the safety of American educational environments, namely creating school safety standards nationally through a state-by-state driven and layered approach, but nevertheless continue daily to make the world a safer place by providing "Safe School" assessments, educational and law enforcement trainings, as well as direct consulting work for public and private security companies, other nonprofits and school districts looking to be part of the amazing 21st century paradigm change in public safety. Currently OKDI is working to help states across America create their own version of School Safety Standards for the new construction of their schools. OKDI has just started their mission of providing expertise and guidance to states across the U.S. but have already received requests from over 20% of states throughout the U.S. desiring to help make their schools and communities safer for everyone involved in the educational safety process.
